Project Giveback

Welcome to 'Project Giveback,' a heartfelt initiative by AAA Masterclass aimed at empowering youth from foster care and under-resourced single-parent families. Every Monday during our July intensive session, we open our doors to 8 young people for free, transformative classes led by Jillian Reeves. These sessions are designed not just to teach acting, but to use the arts as a powerful tool to foster personal growth, improve writing skills, enhance speech & communication, and increase emotional awareness. Join us as we unlock potential and inspire futures, one performance at a time. The participants will also receive additional mentoring classes once a month for 6 months and invites to special Entertainment Guest Speaker live streams & virtual Q&A's!

My Story

I know the struggle of trying to provide for a family under difficult circumstances all too well. As a single teenage mom of twins from a poor rural town, balancing high school and later, college and graduate school, while working to make ends meet, I often found myself choosing between my children's urgent needs and their unmet wants. The pain and sometimes the stigma and shame of not being able to provide everything they deserved is a feeling that many single parents and guardians in under-resourced families know deeply.

Despite these challenges, my children have grown into amazing young adults, thanks largely to the generosity of a supportive community. It's this spirit of giving that inspires me to give back through 'Project Giveback.' In addition, my work in the film 'Sound of Hope'—a true story about a small Texas town (Possum Trot) where 22 families adopted 77 children, wiping out the local foster care crisis—reinforced my commitment to this cause.

This powerful narrative reminded me of the profound impact we can have in the lives of children in need. 'Project Giveback' is my way of paying forward the kindness and support my own family received through the years. Through this initiative, I aim to provide more than just artistic skills to youth; I want to offer them hope, a creative outlet, and a positive place for much-needed respite for both kids and caregivers. It’s about lifting each other’s burdens, recognizing that it takes a village to foster the growth and resilience of our future generations.
